Hollywood blockbuster returns to Budapest to shoot!
The crew is currently working in Italy, but they will come back to Hungarian capital in late June. David Lynch's 1984 sci-fi classic Dune saw a reboot being shot in Budapest prior to ist 2021 premiere.
The sci-fi epic features Hollywood heavyweights Timtohée Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, Stellan Skarsgard, Josh Brolin, Javier Barden, Charlotte Rampling as well as Dave Bautista, with Denis Villeneuve at the helm. The first installment of Dune was critically acclaimed following its premiere and according to Villeneuve's plant it's now time for the second part.
According to Telex.hu the production is wrapping in Italy before moving the crew to Budapest. The second installment of the film follows the second part of Frank Herbert's book that rose to cult status following its release.
Apart from the above mentioned talend, Warner Bros. recentlyannouced a slew of further stars joining the production:
Léa Seydoux will play the role of Lady Margot, and she will be joined by the likes of Florence Pugh, Cristopher Walken as well as Austin Butler.
The studio also announced that it will move the planned preimere of the second Dune film from the 20th October 2023 to the 17th November of the same year.
