Amazing photos chosen from 97 912 moments captured by the cameras of 5 692 photographers will be exhibited in the Hungarian Museum of Ethnography. An exhibition that is much more than just photos in a room. It is really worth seeing.
World Press Photo exhibition is a unique possibility to learn more about our world and to understand a little bit more than we do. Photos can help in doing so – moments captured by cameras around the world, about everyday life, nature, sports, history, arts and politics of our time, as well as people in the news.
Some 200 pictures selected from 97 912 photos made by 5 692 photographers from 131 different countries made the final set of the 2015 travelling World Press Photo Exhibition. The photos, chosen by an international jury, are in Budapest from September 25 to October 25, 2015. You can see these in the Museum of Ethnography in the 5th district, Kossuth Square 12, near the Parliament building.
Our tip:
You can enjoy the Photo of the Year award winning photos in the little room, which opens from the aula of the museum. In the assembly hall of the upper floor, you can see photos of the multi-award winning Hungarian photo-reporter group called Pictorial Collective. It is really worth seeing!
