Jazzy Festival
Posted by Budnews · Sep 14, 2016

Unusual, extraordinary and unique. If you like jazz, you will love Jazzy.

The lovers of discerning music have a secret that we now share with you. There is a festival, don’t picture a big one like Sziget, which is among the best because of its artistic level. It’s the 6th time they organize Jazzy festival, and this years’ performers are worthy followers of the former stars in the previous years like Mezzoforte, Matt Bianco, De Phazz, Mario Biondi or Shakatak.

This year, Geszti production starts the festival. Péter Geszti released new musical material but he also performs his former band’s (e.g Rapülők, Jazz+Az, Gringo Star) songs in a reorchestrated version. Next day the Queen of saxophone comes on stage: Candy Dulfer. Candy should not be presented to the domestic audience, since she has played several times in Hungary and is undoubtedly an outstanding artist of European Jazz. On 17 September, Random Trip All Stars comes on stage with a real super-team. This time Vera Tóth, Juli Fábián, László Dés, Lőrinc Barabás, Tibor Tátrai and Áron Romhányi impress us (among many others). The festival ends with St. Martin’s concert: the saxophonist will present his new album. The songs bring us back to the golden age of jazz, the United States of the thirties. St. Martin virtuoso saxophone play shows a new face of swing.
