Liberty Bridge offering programs for everyone
Posted by Mia Balogh · Jun 12, 2017

If you visit Budapest in these days, don’t miss the quite special programs on the Liberty Bridge closed to traffic on the upcoming weekend.

Liberty Bridge will be closed for traffic and in the meantime transformed into a public space on 17 and 18 June. “In June we will start the Szabihíd project which is an urbanistic experiment for public space development. We will try to add 2016’s awesome, self-organized and spontaneous occupation of the bridge to the everyday life of the city” – organizers write on Facebook.

Several programs will be organized here, including performances, music and theatre. We would like to highlight one event, that is really unique and quite sympathetic to us: there will be a film screening Saturday evening, organized by Budapest Secret Cinemas. But we can already tell you two things about the film chosen: it is an old Hungarian film, and English subtitles will be added.

Oh, and one more thing we have to mention: since it’s gonna be a public space, you can also organize your own program, if you want to.
