Another list that is worth checking:
Eater magazine is one of our favourite if we’re talking about food and gastronomy, and now we like it a little bit more as they listed their favourite restaurants in Budapest. They collected 18 places in the Hungarian capital, that worth trying from old school bistros to Michelin star fine dining restaurant. As they say: new restaurants are popping up across the city, offering everything from updated takes on local peasant fare like goulash soup to Michelin-starred modernist meals. But there’s still plenty of reason to celebrate the neighbourhood stalwarts that have been churning out tasty pörkölt (beef stew) and töltött káposzta (stuffed cabbage rolls) to locals for decades.
They recommend for example the Michelin Star winner Onyx and Borkonyha, and the also fine dining restaurant Fáma, but also praises Padron, which is a friendly tapas bar and Mazel tov that represent the Middle East cuisine. They even have some chop houses and buffets on the list, so everybody can find a good place to eat.
