Some of us still remember that there was a time in Hungary when you could eat good hamburger only at the beaches or on markets. But those days are over: street food and especially really good burgers are more and more popular in our country.

Last summer, the burger fans could enjoy their favourite food and the taste of some new and extraordinary creations on Hamburger Days, organized in Millenáris Park, and it must have been a hit because this year, a brand new event will be organized at the same spot: Beer, Burger & Barbecue Festival.

As the name suggests, this event won’t be just hamburger-centered. It will also focus on traditional and extraordinary snacks made on the barbecue and of course on the best craft beers, as perfect accompanists of the burger and barbecue bites, as well.

If you would like to know more about the event and taste the best beers, burgers and barbecue snacks, visit Budapest this spring and come to Millenáris Park between 15 and 17 April.

Entry is for free but if you would like to taste craft beers, you should by a glass at the event for 1000 HUF. After that, you can buy a beer at any of the stalls. They will check your glass, because they can serve you draft beer only in the glasses bought at the event.

How to pay at the stands of the Beer, Burger and Barbecue Festival?

Instead of using cash, you can pay by bank cards with paypass and paywave and the so-called HelloPay card that you can ask for at the festival’s ‘upload points’. You will get a card for a provision of 500 HUF (you will get this sum back when you go home). Then you can decide how much money you would like to upload. It might sound a little bit complicated but you will see that in the end, it is much easier to use one card at the festival than cash and different bank cards.
