Finally, Restaurant Week is here again

Exclusive dining for affordable prices is not impossible – you can experience it in Budapest this week. So don’t hesitate and – of course – don’t diet, Restaurant Week is waiting for you with their best offers (and best meals).

If the third week of March is the week that you spend in Hungary, we have quite good news for you. You can – besides sightseeing, of course – experience all the pleasures given by our famous gastronomy for quite friendly prices. Between 13 and 19 March, you can buy 3-course meals in several top Hungarian restaurants for only 3300 HUF, thanks to Restaurant Week.

Not only Hungarians like this initiative, but tourists, as well, because it is offering the possibility to try even the best restaurants for this price – service also included. Sounds good, right? Well, you only have to answer one question then: which country’s gastronomy would you like to try?

Of course, you can taste traditional Hungarian dishes, like for example the gulyás (goulash) or halászlé (traditional fish soup). Is it too spicy for you? Well, then let’s choose something from a more international menu, for example from the offer of some Mexican, French, Thai or even Japanese restaurants.

Bookings for the Restaurant Week, organized for the 12th time, can only be made at www.etteremhet.hu website. Don’t worry, you can reach everything in English, too. The best spots might be almost full already, but it is still not too late to choose a nice table in a really good restaurant in Budapest. Reservations are automatically approved on etteremhet.hu, so you don’t have to wait for confirmation, or make phone calls to the restaurant chosen.

The process of the reservation is not complicated either. If you enter the website, you can choose the date, the number of the persons and the type of the meal: lunch, dinner or both. Then you can see the restaurants’ list, and the important information: does it have seats available or not any more.

It won’t be a blind date with a place chosen only by the name, because you can see pictures, check the menu of the restaurant chosen, and read some reviews, as well. So you can book only after knowing the most important details (so you can avoid surprises at the arrival).

Our tip:

If you would like to make Restaurant Week more exclusive, you can try Premium menus for 4900 HUF in Dining City star restaurants, or enjoy the 3-item wine-lines recommended by sommelier Antal Kovács in some of the popular spots participating at the 12th Restaurant Week.
