MAC inspired by The Simpsons

We will love summer of 2014 but we are already keen on this falls fashion surprises – for example on a special MAC makeup collection, inspired by Marge Simpson.

The well-known cosmetic brand, MAC is a huge fan of The Simpsons and they wanted to give an extraordinary surprise for their favourite animated family’s 25th birthday this year. So they created a special makeup collection, inspired by The Simpsons – mostly by the blue-haired mum, Marge Simpson.

The idea of this “collaboration” has surprised the world, and we are sure that the makeup collection will be surprising, as well. It will hit the shelves is September, and it is planned to be a limited edition.

The official Twitter page for The Simpsons announced the news, and it was followed by an announcement from MAC. They wrote: “Springfield, Springfield! We're launching a collection to celebrate 25 years of @TheSimpsons this fall. #MACandMARGE”.

This isn't the first time MAC has created a collection inspired by a fictional character. They have collaborated with Miss Piggy, Hello Kitty, and their Maleficent collection will come out later this month.

MAC’s Archie’s Girls and Wonder Woman Collection also proves that the brand is no stranger to creating fun cosmetic collections, that’s for sure. However, the Simpsons are such a hard colour palette to work with: yellow, blue, some green and some red limit the makeup collection.

But how did Marge Simpson inspire MAC? Maybe owing to her uniqueness or her big eyes... so we hope to find a new mascara in The Simpsons collection, which helps the eyes look bigger and more expressive. And maybe red lipsticks, similar to Marge’s in colour.

Otherwise, we still don’t know a lot about The Simpsons makeup collection, but let’s hope that it won’t contain yellow foundation or eyeshadows matching only blue hair.
