This year’s best fashion designer: Kata Szegedi
Posted by Réka Szentesi · Mar 25, 2014

Just like in the United Kingdom, in Hungary we also have the Glamour Woman of the Year contest every year. For me, a fashion addict, it is no suprise that this year Kata Szegedi won the price of the best fashion designer.

She is really among the best. This is not the first time that Kata is awarded with such a price. Few years ago she was elected th best young fashion designer of the year, even before she got her diploma, not to mention that her designs were also edited in Vogue Italy. She is now considered to be among the top designers in Hungary. If you are interested in Hungarian designer clothes, her store should be on your must visit list, while staying in Budapest.

The young and talented designer, Kata is known for her contemporary urban style collections. She is committed to innovative and modern design, her clothes give you the feeling of trendiness and uniqueness at the same time. Not necesseraly following the mainstrem, the brand can still always offer something from the current worldwide trends. Her playful usage of materials, colors and shapes often give a futuristic impact at the end. But what is most important: each and every model has that little touch of the designer’s style which makes it Kata Szegedi-like.

Her newest, spring/summer 2014 collection is based on refined lines and dark colors. The models are elegant and casual at the same time. The collection’s vivacity is given by the royal blue color which appears on full silhouettes and in some patterns too, giving a suggestive feeling to Kata’s newest designs. Mix&match is her strong skill, she puts together colors, patterns and shapes in a perfect way, which gives an unconventional taste to her collection. Visit her store to check out her collection of clothes and accessories.
