5 favorite designers of spring
Posted by Ágnes Taraszovics · Mar 10, 2016

We feel spring everywhere around so we show our favorite Hungarian designers, with whom we will surely spice up this wonderful season, ourselves and our environment.

Füzet & Táska

Füzet and Táska (= Notebook & Gymbag) are labels of two young designers from Budapest: Györgyi and Rebeka. This is actually two autonomous brand’s special symbiosis: Györgyi makes sleek, leather accessories, especially bags. The products are made in minimalist design which focuses on fine details while using high quality materials, in order to keep them durable and refined. Rebeka creates journals and notebooks, every single one adorned with an original, painted cover. The products are made with traditional methods to ensure their quality and uniqueness. The inspiration, however, is obtained from the joint workshop and they harmonize the design of the two product groups in every season. And we adore this unique and neutral style!

Zsanett Kincses contemporary concrete art

Zsanett’s concrete brand is one of the most fines among the concrete jewelries and accessories we know. She works with especially fine surfaces, the concise and heavy material becomes almost aerial in her hand. Her artworks are often light colored, the shapes are nicely detailed and fits the hand smoothly. This year's summer collection is more polished than ever, with gradation painted, ’ombre’ variations. Some old favorites are also coming back, like my biggest love, the concrete mini plant pot. And as the novelties are made in the joyful colors of the season, it will be fun and easy to mix these accessories with the existing items.

Lamoppe home textile design

If the topic of interior design has just been addressed: the textile print design by Laura Mózes is the best thing your apartment deserves. Most of the Lamoppe home textile products displays colorist, geometric harmonies and disharmonies. The monochrome screen-printed pillows feature organic, cellular motifs. Some of the cushions are printed with high quality sublimation and hand screen-printing technology. The special feature of the products is that they combine the manufactory approach with solutions of the latest technology. And due to the graphic design and the techniques used the process is maximally customizable, adaptable, so practically any color defined by the Panton-scale can be created on request.

Eosine bags &accessories

The Eosine bags represent the super-chic line. In Szilvia Bozsik’s custom-designed bags and accessories the Hungarian arts and noble traditions meet the innovative technology of the 21st century and it’s impossible to resist the mixture. The colors printed on leather shine differently every time of the day. The magical, deep colors are not caused by the paint itself, but two specific physical phenomena: light refraction and interference. The raw material of these special shaped items is high-quality, varnished genuine leather. They are characterized by deep glowing, magically decorative colors and the timeless elegance. Oh, and I almost forgot: jewelries and phone cases can also be found in the webshop.

Tipton Eyeworks

Tipton is one of our perennial favorite accessories: the company converts old vinyl records to frame of glasses. Zachary Tipton moved to Hungary in 2002, and soon after it he came into contact with the glasses factory of Esztergom where he was able to start the mass production of the fully developed design brand. This also means that Tipton is the only member of our list, which sells not only 100% handmade products, but this doesn’t mean any disadvantage in the quality. The final result of the joint work was the unique Vinylize collection, created using only vinyl and cellulose acetate. Since then, another line, Cinematique has been established, which has old film frames hidden in its stainless steel eyeglass temples.
