Special sauna in the city
Posted by Mia Balogh · Jan 2, 2017

If you are a fan of good sauna, just like we are, then Valyo mobile sauna is a must-try for you. We can tell you where to find it this year in Budapest.

We have already mentioned Valyo mobile sauna in one of our articles almost a year ago. If you have a really good memory (like Carrie Wells in the series called Unforgettable) you might remember that this unique sauna was made by The City and River Association (Valyo) – they turned a small bus into a sauna.

This little bus can be found in a new spot every year, in January. In the last couple of years, it had parked on the Citadel, at Gellért Square, Chain Bridge and Margit Bridge and this year, you can find it at Batthyány Square. “You will have a perfect view on the Danube and one of the most famous building of Budapest, the Parliament” – they write on their website.

So you can have fun with five of your best mates or a romantic program in Valyo mobile sauna. 90 minutes cost 14 000 HUF which goes to Valyo association as a donation to help their work.

How to find the mobile sauna:

You can reach Batthyány tér by M2 red metro line or tram 19 and 41. When you enter the square, just look at the direction of the Danube and look for a small grey bus with a chimney. Bring your coupon or voucher, slippers, towels and of course your swimsuits.
