SeungBeom Cho has set a new record for solving the Rubik’s cube.

Solving the Rubik’s cube is quite popular among young people because it is not easy but can be fun. Can you solve it? And how long does it take for you to finish it? Well, we are sure that you will be astonished by the achievement of the young boy in the following video, whether you are a fan of Rubik’s cube or not.

For this 23-year-old South Korean guy, SeungBeom Cho it took only 4.59 seconds (!) to solve the cube so his achievement has become the fastest ever recorded.

You can see in the following video that everyone in the half-filled room becomes overexcited and they gather around Cho to congratulate him for the new world record. There is also a very special reason for it: the South Korean did it in his first round of the day. All of his other scores for the competition didn’t get below seven seconds.

According to the World Cube Association's website (yes, of course a World Cube Association exists) the 23-year-old's previous personal best was 6.54 seconds. He has won 21 gold medals for his efforts, as well as 21 silver medals and five bronze medals.

The surprise world record puts legendary Australian Rubik’s Cuber Feliks Zemdegs at third globally for the classic event, with his time of 4.73 recorder at the POPS Open in Melbourne last year.
