David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Fernando Torres, Roberto Carlos – just a few names from the illustrious list of world-famous footballers who already collaborated with Pepsi. We can also add Zoltán Gera, who starred in one of their ads 12 years ago and now the beverage brand has chosen a Hungarian sportsman again.

Ádám Bogdán plays football in Liverpool FC and is also member of the Hungarian National Team. He is now advertising two flavours: Pepsi Lime and Wild Cherry – both calorie free. This is very important nowadays for a lot of people (diet, healthy living, etc.) but for a sportsman it is essential to know how many calories they consume per day.

The slogan for this campaign suggests that we all should come out of our comfort zone more often. So it is not a surprise that for one of the photo shoots made for the campaign, they also wanted Bogdán to leave his comfort zone. They took him to a gym first – that was a well-known field for him – and after that, he was taken to a free fall simulator which must be very exciting. ;) The football player wasn’t shocked by the experience: he has already used free fall simulators in England so he already stepped out of his comfort zone with this earlier.

Bogdán says that in his opinion, the most memorable ad for the brand was a short film in which a Juventus fan asks for David Beckham’s football jersey just to wipe his Pepsi can. He thinks that Pepsi has always been very good at incorporating football in their advertisements.

Ádám Bogdán has recently started his own brand with his brother. The brand is called Red Viking and they are offering two types of beer (Red Viking and Gold Viking) and also clothing products.
