She got almost maximum points on the Dutch Shepherd World Championship.
If we’re talking about Hungarian rescue dogs, most people think about Mancs, the famous rescue dog of the 2000s. Fortunately, he has some talented “offspring”, which has been now confirmed. A 9-year old Hungarian dog won the Dutch Shepherd World Championship in Roden!
A member of SOS Rescue Dog Association and her dog took part in the championship with 150 Dutch shepherds from 17 countries around the world. In the category of rescue dogs 10 dogs from 8 countries were competed, and the Hungarian participant won. Tara managed to get 287 out of the maximum of 300, which was a fantastic performance. The dog had to find a total of 3 people in a 500 × 100-meter bushy area, overgrown with grass and surrounded by water in half an hour. Tara also performed superbly on the obstacle course, so she absolutely deserved the victory.
Moreover, this wasn’t the first competition where Tara did well: she became second on a ruin research competition in 2012 and second in a field research in 2015.
Congratulations to Tara and her owner Klára!
