FC Barcelona to launch soccer academy in Budapest
Posted by Mia Balogh · Apr 25, 2019

One of the world’s largest professional football clubs will open a football academy in our capital, with one base on the Buda-side and one on the Pest side of the city.

FC Barcelona, one of the world’s largest professional football clubs, will start a football academy in Budapest for training children aged between 4 and 14 throughout the year.

In line with the agreement, the academy in Budapest will operate under a professional director from FC Barcelona. All coaches working for the academy will be expected to use the training methods of the Catalonian club.

The best players at the academy will get a chance to join Barcelona FC in the future because the Catalonian club will have a pre-emption right for footballers trained in Budapest.
