New terminal will be built in Ferihegy Airport for the low-cost airlines

Soon we can wait for our flight in more comfortable conditions at Liszt Ferenc International Airport.

If you've ever been to Budapest with a low-cost airline, you probably remember the long walk and the tin „stock yark”. This not-so-pleasant solution has existed since 2012 (Malév's bankruptcy), when the low-costers were moved from Ferihegy 1, an it's about to end. A new low-cost terminal is already under construction at Liszt Ferenc International Airport. (Ferihegy is the urban name of Liszt Ferenc International Airport, so don't be confused.)

Travelers of low-cost airlines can be delighted, as soon they can wait in more comfortable conditions at the Airport, instead of the current simplified delivery gates that are clipped together from metal plates and passenger cordons The new lightweight construction will be offering 21st century comfort and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

The one-storey facility will be built in the place of the previously planned Ferihegy 2C terminal, and the wing will be accessible to passengers via the current B terminal. 21st century comfort, seats, heating and cooling, toilets and shops will await passengers, who will be transported by buses to their flights.
