Budapest is second best value destination on the planet
Posted by Mia Balogh · Oct 31, 2019

According to Lonely Planet, our capital is not only beautiful but also perfect place for those considering price-value ratio.

Recently, the Lonely Planet has ranked travel destinations in four categories: top cities, regions, countries and best value destinations. In the latter, Budapest finished second, preceded by an Indonesian province, East Nusa Tenggara, and followed by an Indian state, Madhya Pradesh. The top 3 is followed by Serbia, Tunisia, Azerbaijan and Athens.

Budapest is awarded for its great and not expensive thermal baths, just like for the ‘buzzing wine bars, edgier ‘ruin bars’ in atmospheric old buildings and mod takes on the city’s renowned cafe culture. Strolling the city’s many art nouveau wonders, including Keleti station (still the best place to arrive in or depart Budapest), won’t cost anything and will fill up your phone for happy Instagramming long after your trip comes to an end’ – Lonely Planet writes.

If you have some more time, approximately three minutes, check out this short video about the top destinations of the best value category. Believe us, it is worth it! ;)
