Posted by Mia Balogh · Nov 8, 2019

Check out the Hungarian winners of ‘hotel spa’ and ‘resort spa’ categories.

In Hungary, you can find lots of really good spas but if you want to try only the best ones, well, you should visit the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus in Budapest and the Saliris Resort in Egerszalók.

The first one was the Hungarian winner of the hotel spa category of 2019 World Spa Awards, while the latter won the resort spa category – Turizmus.com reported.

It is also interesting that several other luxury spas in Budapest – including the one at Aria Hotel, Ritz Carlton, and Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace – were among the nominees in the hotel spa category, but the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest was chosen as the best one.

About The World Spa Awards

The World Spa Awards, also known as the international Oscar of spas, exists for 5 years already as a sister program of the World Travel Awards. Their goal was to increase standards of service in spa-tourism and name the representatives of excellence in the spa sector.

There is a prize on a national level in multiple categories, and there is also a global prize which goes to a spa which gets the most votes (by professionals and the public).

Global winners in 2019

This year, the global winner of the hotel spa category is the Armani Spa in the Armani Hotel in Dubai, for the second time in a row.

The world’s best resort spa in 2019 is the Harnn Heritage Spa in the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.

The world’s best wellness retreat is the Mriya Resort & Spa in Russia, for the second time in a row, and the world’s best spa destination is Dubai.

What do you think about these results? Tell us in a comment. And you can write us also about your best spa and wellness experience in Hungary – we really would like to know more about your experiences. ;)
