Budapest Transport Company presented the visual design.
If you've been to Budapest in the past couple of years, you've probably run into the renovation of the M3 metro. We also wrote about the renewal earlier: first, the northern end was renewed completely, and now the southern section is closed for a year. The closed section is planned to be ready this fall, but Budapest Transport Center now showed how the stations of the southern section of metro line M3 will look like – this is what you can see on the photos.

According to the official information, the main objective of the architectural planning was the general technical and aesthetic renewal and upgrading of passenger lounges and the creation of a new characteristic of the line, while partially preserving the unique character of the stations. The metro station of Népliget, Ecseri út, Pöttyös utca and Határ út will significantly change, while the recently renewed Kőbánya-Kispest terminal is not expected to change that much.

The reconstruction of the central, downtown section of the metro line will begin when the southern part is ready (probably this fall), but four downtown stops will be closed earlier. From March, the trains pass without stopping at Arany János utca and Ferenciek tere stations, and from July the Corvin negyed and Semmelweis Klinika stations will also be closed. To take care and be attentive if you use the metro during these month in Budapest.
