The highly anticipated Galvani Bridge will be useful and important concerning the traffic in Budapest but the newest bridge will be also quite imposing.
As you can already know from Hungarian media – and also from our site –, the new Danube Bridge, also called Galvani Bridge is more than just a dream now: it will be realized. This month, the project already reached a next important stage: the planning of the tram lane which will pass through the bridge has started.
Furthermore, we can already show you how the bridge will look like, thanks to Dávid Vitézy, CEO of the Budapest Development Centre, who shared the following video on his YouTube channel.

As we have already mentioned in a previous article (http://budnews.hu/news/News/1612/this-is-the-next-step-concerning-the-new-budapest-bridge), it is going to have four pillars, 2x3 lanes and it is going to be 500 metres long. It will also have a tram line.
Once finished, it will ease the traffic in the city centre: 55 thousand cars can be diverted from the downtown bridges and thousands of vehicles from Üllői road. And it will probably help the development of the southern parts of Budapest, too.
