Say goodbye to MOL Bubi bikes
Posted by Mia Balogh · Nov 19, 2020

The well-known communal bicycle network MOL Bubi will be shut down from the end of November, a new communal cycle-hire system will follow.

MOL Bubi was a popular bike hiring system for all those who wanted to discover Budapest on two wheels or go to work in the capital sometimes by bike but didn’t want to buy a bicycle.

Now we have to say goodbye to this one due to an overhaul of the network, Telex.hu writes, by adding that Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) promises that a new communal cycle-hire system will be available in 2021.

‘From 29 November, the MOL Bubi communal bicycle network is closing down across Budapest while changes are made to the system. It’s not yet clear how long the shutdown will take place. Budapest Transport (BKK), which oversees the operation, will reimburse holders of seasonal passes. Full details to follow’ – WeLoveBudapest.com adds.
