There have been countless guides that deal with Budapest or Europe, but now we found one that shows our well-known environment from a new perspective.
Graphic Europe is a guidebook to 31 cities in 31 different European countries, written and illustrated by graphic designers living in those cities. The unique feature is that this book is not illustrated with photos and maps of the cities, but with graphics, drawings and infographics about the attractions (of the specific, very subjective point of view of the graphic designers).
This book offers a fresh twist on the conventional guidebook format, lists places to stay, restaurants, bars, cultural hotspots and architectural highlights, but emphasizes the hip, alternative examples that only an insider would know. Each city has 6-8 pages, and the works in it are intended for those, who are open to new things, and not searching only for classic tourist attractions in the cities, but the artistic ones or ruin bars as well.
Graphic Europe, this alternative guidebook shows the Hungarian capital in English through 12 graphic works by Dávid Baráth. The graphics present the characteristics of the city, like the size and character of Buda and Pest, the bridges, the transport and every detail that seemed important to the creator.
