Meet the great wax figures of Gozsdu Celebrity Panoptic

Take a selfie with the Terminator, Freddie Krueger, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe or Captain Jack Sparrow, or just enjoy being a child again with Sponge Bob, E.T., one of the Minions and Snoopy. Gozsdu Celebrity Panoptic will be fun anyway.

A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to spend three days in London with my Mum. We had so many programs, that in the end, we had to give up our hopes to go for example to Madame Tussauds. This was a decision that wasn’t easy for us to make, and that I have always regretted. I decided to experience something similar in the next years, in a wax museum that is not as far from Budapest as London, but offers wax figures and the possibility to have some fun (and some great selfies) with them.

So I was really happy to hear that a new panoptic opens its gates in Gozsdu Court. The place is called Gozsdu Celebrity Panoptic, and you will find it in C Court. By entering, you will find the information desk, where you can get some main information – about tickets, for example, and then, you can walk down the stairs to meet... the Terminator first. His wax figure is the first one you will see by arriving to the panoptic itself, and I am sure that you will feel just like me: “when can I start making selfies?”.

It is really hard to wait for it, but I suggest you to take a tour here first. So you will see around 20 wax figures of well known people like Albert Einstein and celebrities you already know, from Hugh Jackman or Captain Jack Sparrow to Michael Jackson, Freddie Krueger, the young Robert De Niro or least but not last the amazing Marilyn Monroe. You can even have a coffee with Mr. George Clooney (a great selfie spot, just to mention...).

You will be happy to see some well known animated film characters, like Snoopy, a Minion, a penguin from the Penguins of Madagascar. You will also discover Hungarian figures, for example King Stephen I of Hungary or the naturalist and traveller Kálmán Kittenberger. The wax figure of the football player Balázs Dzsudzsák is already in production, it will be exhibited here soon.

After taking a tour in the Celebrity Panoptic, it is worth taking some pics and selfies here, because most of the figures are really authentic. The hair, the faces, the hair on the faces... everything looks so real, even if you check it out from a quite small distance. And you can do that, you can even touch the figures, nobody will say no for that.

If you feel tired after making selfies with everybody in the huge, 500 square-meters panoptic, you can be refreshed in the café of this place, or you can even get some information from their programs. They organize several events, last time they had Children’s Day on 25 October, so it is really worth visiting. And returning, as well.

The most popular selfie spot is E.T.-s place, where you can stand right behind the figure, just like you would steer the bike he is sitting on. It is really worth trying!
