Fanni Kincses was chosen by the world-famous composer to perform ‘Hanging Tree’ from the movie The Hunger Games on 5 November before the crowd in Budapest Arena.

Pretty Woman, King Kong, The Sixth Sense, The Hunger Games, The Dark Knight – just a couple of movies orchestrated by James Newton Howard. He has scored over 100 films so far and he is also a Grammy and Emmy Award-winning, Oscar-nominated composer.

So it is not a wonder that a lot of people would like to hear his music live, and they will have the opportunity to do so. Because he will begin a concert tour soon to bring his songs to the music fans and to celebrate Hollywood’s last three decades of film music.

The tour will stop at 20 cities throughout Europe, starting with a premiere at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 3 November. James Newton Howard will perform in Budapest Sportarena two days later, on 5 November and a very special guest will join him on stage.

Howard has divulged a singing competition in Europe, to find a singer who could perform ‘Hanging Tree’ in his show in the Budapest Arena. Check out the video where he announces the winner.

The American composer choose Fanni Kincses: she will have the opportunity to sing ‘Hanging Tree’ on 5 November in Budapest Arena. She thinks that it’s fantastic but also a huge responsibility. The hardest part is the lyrics: she must pay attention because the lines are quite similar and can be confused easily. But Fanni is trying to give her best at the concert and she is practicing a lot with her music teacher.
