Come closer, enter and take a look around in the exciting world and amazing treasures of a once ruling nation of South America.
It is quite rare for us to have the possibility to gain insight into the closed world of an ancient civilisation – to see how their society, culture, religion worked at that time, and also the decline of the society. One of the newest exhibitions in Budapest, the Legendary Treasures of the Incas is showing us all these interesting things – and gold, as well.
Because, as the organizers write in their press release, “the main purpose of the exhibition is to get a comprehensive picture of the former Inca civilization and to make you feel the temptation of gold”.
“The desire for gold is eternal. Gold is a symbol of gods and rulers and universal currency and a curse. Explore the legendary gold treasure of the Incas, enter the bloody history of America's colonization, get to know the ancient civilizations and their associates” – invite the organisers.
The Incas treasure shows original gold exhibits, different everyday utensils and models of real buildings and ritual sites. Believe us, it is quite interesting. ;)
The exhibition is open from 13 March to 31 July, every day, between 9 am and 8 pm. The event venue is called Komplex, and it can be found easily near Gozsdu Court (6th district, Király Street 26).
