The 71-year-old Michigan legend is set to perform at Budapest Park this summer – supposedly some of his best songs and a spectacular show are to be expected.
25 years after his first gig in Budapest, Iggy Pop returns to our capital to perform at Budapest Park: he is set to perform on 24 July, and will supposedly bring a couple of his best songs and also a spectacular show.
The godfather of punk had his last solo performance in our capital in 1994 (at the now-demolished Petőfi Csarnok), then, two years later, he was one of the headliners of Sziget Festival. He returned to the Island of Freedom in 2006 and in 2012, too.
Iggy Pop released his last album, Post Pop Depression in 2016. With his latest songs, he showed to the world that he has remained innovative – even 50 years after his debut in the music industry. Produced with the help of Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, the disc was nominated for the best alternative music album at the Grammy Awards.
