Restaurant Week is ON!
Posted by Mia Balogh · Oct 8, 2018

From 8 to 14 October, you can enjoy exclusive menus for affordable prices in several restaurants in Budapest and also in the countryside.

If you visit Hungary, or more precisely Budapest this week, we must say you are quite lucky. Why? Because from 8 to 14 October, Restaurant Week is getting organised – it means that in a lot of really good restaurants you can experience 3-course meals for only 3300 HUF, and in Dining City star spots, premium menus for 4900 HUF.

Not only Hungarians like this initiative, but tourists, as well, because it is offering the possibility to try even the best restaurants for this price – service also included. Sounds good, right? Well, you only have to answer one question then: which country’s gastronomy would you like to try?

Of course, you can taste traditional Hungarian dishes, like for example the gulyás (goulash) or halászlé (traditional fish soup). Is it too spicy for you? Well, then let’s choose something from a more international menu, for example from the offer of some French, Italian, Thai, Mexican or even Japanese restaurants.

How to book?

Reservations can only be made via internet – which is good, we suppose: no e-mailing, no phone calls. Just click here: http://www.etteremhet.hu/lang/en/cities and decide whether you would like to visit a restaurant in Budapest (and Pest county) or in the countryside. Then choose a date, the number of persons (2 persons for ex.) and decide the meal type: lunch, dinner or any of these.

After that, you can check out the list of the restaurants with available tables by clicking to ‘Find a restaurant’. You will see a list instantly, then you can choose a sympathetic place and make your reservation. It will be automatically approved so you won’t have to do anything else, just being there at the restaurant in time and enjoy your meal. ;)

It is worth trying

It might take some time to find a spot that fits your taste and your schedule perfectly because a lot of places are already fully booked for Restaurant Week but we think there is still some hope to just have a nice lunch in a really good restaurant – for a reasonable price.
