Vegan restaurant is Budapest among the best ones in Europe
Posted by Mia Balogh · Jul 5, 2019

Veganism is more and more fashionable around the world, and we can find more and more vegan restaurants in Europe, too –  these are the best of the best, according to Big 7 Travel.

The guys at Big 7 Travel make quite interesting compilations – and in our opinion, also flattering ones, because Budapest is usually on their lists (and it is not rare that our capital is among the best of the best).

Recently, they listed the best vegan, or to be precise, the best vegan-friendly spots to grab some food in Europe, and a restaurant in Budapest, Great Bistro is ranked second in their compilation. Woohoo, what a great surprise! ;)

The judging criteria was the following:

Finalists were selected from across the European Union.

Restaurants were chosen on their dedication to plant-based food and sustainable and seasonal menus; while not all finalists have a 100% plant menu, they all play their part in promoting vegan choices and opening up the conversation towards a plant-based lifestyle.

Votes were cast in poll of Big 7 readers, across our 1.5million community on social media and by a panel of food experts.

Online reviews, previous media coverage and notable blogs were also included in the overall rating.
