Canada loves Hungarian Chimney cake

The Hungarian delicacy is the newest favourite of the North American country.

We have already told you about the success stories of some Hungarian delicacies, for example the well-known street food “lángos” that has conquered Dublin and New York, and the chimney cakes that became extremely popular in Florida.

Well, the success story of Hungarian foods continues in Canada, where amazing chimney cakes are made in a food truck. The delicacies are created by a young couple and the man’s grandmother, Éva, who was born in Budapest and is a ’56 immigrant. She started a new life in Canada with her husband and two children 60 years ago, and she always talked about chimney cakes nostalgically to her family.

One day, Éva’s grandson, Justin and his wife decided to make their dream come true: they sold everything and travelled around the world for two years. Their last stop was Budapest, where they tried the chimney cake mentioned so many times by Justin’s grandma. Right after the first bite, they knew where to continue their journey: they returned home, joined Éva and bought a food truck.

This is how Eva’s Original Chimneys was born, for the delight of so many satisfied people in Canada. In the Northern American country, there is already a huge fan base of their chimney cakes and chimney cones, and we can find their names on the street food toplists, too. Their products are recommended by blogs and magazines, and last year, they won the prize of the best freshmen at the AwesTruck competition, as well.
