If you have a sweet tooth, you won’t be able to say no to these programs this fall in Budapest. Which would be your favourite one?
Chocolate Museum
Who loves chocolate? Wait, the question is terribly wrong. Who doesn’t like chocolate? Well, we suppose that you do, after clicking on this title and starting to read about sweet treats. We know we are right. So let us suggest you (as fans of chocolate to another fan) at first to visit the Hungarian Chocolate Museum. Located in the eastern part of Budapest, it is not quite in the city centre but is definitely worth visiting in every part of the year if you want to want to be dipped in chocolate history... and of course tasting and purchasing some really good chocolates. Yummie. Chocoholics will feel like in Heaven (that’s for sure, believe us).
Chimney Cake Festival
All of us love chimney cakes. Haven’t you tried yet? Well, it’s never too late and we know the perfect occasion where to taste these sweet treats (yes, we suggest you to try several types): Chimney Cake Festival will be organised again, for the fourth time. When and where? On the second weekend of October, in Vajdahunyad Castle. Will you be there?
Sugar! shop
Would you like to taste candies and cakes looking just like they were from Wonderland? If yes, visit Sugar! shop in Budapest. The cakes are quite good (and the looks, well, we have warned you), the staff is friendly and the place itself is a unique, youthful design patisserie – “dashing, ground-breaking and playful”, as we have already written in a previous article, mainly about their Circus collection. Well, the place is still cool and worth visiting – make your day unforgettable by making some Snapchat and Instagram pics here.
Chocolate souvenirs
If you can stay only for a couple of days in Budapest, but you are sure that you would like to buy some chocolate in the city – and of course stuff your baggage, because you know, nobody can travel home without some souvenirs –, we suggest you to visit some of the most special chocolate stores in the city. Candy Store has unfortunately closed, but for example Szamos Gourmet House (1052 Budapest, Váci utca 1.), several Culinaris shops or Stühmer Sweets Shop (1133 Budapest, Pozsonyi út 9) are still waiting for you.
