Freakshake: the monsters of shake industry
Posted by Budnews · Apr 18, 2017

We haven’t seen such thing before, but now we don’t understand how anyone can live without it.

Freakshake is everything a six-year old could wish. These monstrous milkshakes are packed with a gut-busting mountain of treats and they are basically the incarnation of sugar shock. This „invention” is originated from Australia and conquered the world is the last few years. If you never heard of this treat, image milkshakes topped with cream, topped with cake, topped with sauce, with a handful of sweets thrown in for good measure – it’s a monstrous mashup of a drink and dessert. And yes, they have arrived to Budapest as well.

On the Pest side: Sweatheart Waffle & Shake Bar

Sweatheart is “The sweetest thing in town”. It’s a really special Belgian themed dessert place: they offer traditional waffles, special salty and sweet stuffed waffles, plenty of bagels and shakes, including these freakshake monsters. They have three freakshakes in the constant supply and one kind of seasonal shake. If you are on a diet, you should definitely avoid the whole area of Wesselényi Street…

On the Buda side: Johnny's Bistro

Johnny’s Bistro brings American deliciousness right to you, with the upmost authenticity and cultural experience. This Bistro allows Americans abroad to get a taste of home; juicy burgers, tortillas, drenched corn dogs, and of course, root beer. Johnny’s also focuses on providing a family atmosphere and when it comes to American tastes and delicacies, then freakshake cannot be missed either.
