5 spots to drink fröccs this summer in Budapest

Drinking fröccs is not only for refreshing yourself with a cool mix of bubbly soda water and wine, but also an occasion to chill out with friends. Let us show you a couple of places to enjoy ‘fröccstime’.

Fröccsterasz

If you are spending your time in the City, near Deák Square, we are sure that you can’t avoid Fröccsterasz. This is a popular place among Hungarian people and tourists, the young and the old. Crowded but friendly, and not the cheapest but the prices are acceptable.

Hermina Terasz

Do you want to spend your free time in a calmer venue instead of a crowded place? Then let us recommend you to visit Hermina Terasz. Located at City Park (Városliget), it offers you great view to the green but also a modern, elegant environment. Even the nice goldfish-bowl wine glass, your big fröccs is served in, fits this environment! Let’s just say, it’s awesome.

Fellini Római Bistro

On a hot summer afternoon, we really like visiting the Roman bank (Római Part) on the Buda-side of the city. You know, this is the place where you can eat hekk (delicious fish) and really good beach food, too. And of course there is also some good fröccs, for example in the Fellini bistro. The atmosphere is unique, the service is really kind and fröccs comes for a good price – big fröccs is available for 600 HUF.

VinoWonka Chocolate and Wine Bar

We have always thought that chocolate and wine can’t be a bad match and VinoWonka has just verified us. You can visit this spot at Corvin, and maybe you will have to wait a couple of minutes for a table (because a lot of people would like to enjoy their wines, chocolates, beers, syrups, palinka, etc.) but it is totally worth it. When ordering your fröccs, you can choose among cheaper and more expensive wines, but if you feel that it is a mission impossible for you, they can help you and offer different types of wine (and chocolate, if you want).

Kertem

If you take a walk in City Park, you can’t miss Kertem. This is a very friendly spot, like a big garden (the name means ‘My Garden’) with outdoor furniture and with some colourful light bulbs. They have good fröccs for very friendly prices, and we are sure that you won’t be able to resist their hamburgers (these meals look and smell fantastic!). If you choose to sit in here, your dog is also welcome. ;)
