25-year-old Hungarian man to walk across the US
Posted by Mia Balogh · Aug 7, 2018

David Nagy is walking in the United States, from one coast to the other. He does it for charity and also because he loves travelling and adventure.

David Nagy is a 25-year-old man from Hungary who has already been to 25 countries and has also lived abroad: in Netherland and in Canada. He has always been opened for some travel and adventure so when he read about how some people did this walk and raised money with it, he said to himself he could be the next one to do it.

At the time there were only 39 people who completed the walk and Dávid thought that this was not a very high number. How many started the trip and then not finish it? It looks like there are hundreds of people every year who jump into this and the number of completed trips is getting higher. If David can finish his walk, he will be the first Hungarian to walk across the United States.

As we have already mentioned, many before him raised money with their walks for charities. David is raising money for Heim Pál Children’s Hospital in Budapest.

At the moment, he is more than halfway between New York and Los Angeles, must have left Denver and should be somewhere on the Colorado Trail. This is the fifth section of his walk – he planned it to have seven sections – but this is the hardest part of it. We are sure that this will be the most memorable for him, though.

The young Hungarian started in New York in May and hopes to finish his journey in September. He is usually walking 25-40 km a day and has been writing a travel blog about his adventures, posting videos on YouTube and his Facebook page.
