Changes concerning the airport buses in Budapest
Posted by Mia Balogh · May 31, 2018

Travelling between the city centre and Liszt Ferenc Airport will be easier and probably more comfortable, thanks to the changed schedule of two airport buses.

If you are looking for the cheapest travelling possibilities between Budapest city centre and the airport, you will find – after a short browsing on the internet – two airport buses. 100E is connecting Deák Square and the airport, while 200E moves around between Határ út and Liszt Ferenc Airport.

These buses are usually a good alternative to get to the airport or to the city but if you arrive late at night, or you need a ride in the early hours, well, you should call a taxi. Or… following a couple of changes in the schedule of these airport buses, maybe you shouldn’t.

Because we’ve just read that from 18 May, 100E buses will run more frequently, in every 20 minutes (instead of every 30 minutes), and the last one will depart from Liszt Ferenc Airport at 1:20 AM so it will be possible to catch it even if you arrive with the last plane. In addition to this, the first 100E bus will leave Deák Square earlier, at 3:40 AM so it will be a good choice for all who want to catch one the first planes in the morning.

More good news? Yes, we have two more left: from 16 June, 200E buses will run day and night. And there will be even more easier to get your tickets for these airport buses because Centre of Budapest Transport (BKK) will place out more ticket machines in many locations in the city centre.
