The world-famous actor confirmed the news on Instagram.

We, Hungarians are quite lucky: our country and our capital city are so beautiful that we have the chance to regularly welcome here well-known people from all around the globe, including the world’s most famous actresses and actors.

Recently, it was will Smith who – well, allegedly – arrived to Budapest. Some people were quite sceptic after reading the news about that, but we didn’t have to wait for a long time until the actor himself confirmed the news by posting about his stay in Budapest on Instagram.

On his snap, or let’s say very short video you can see Mr. Smith on the top of the Hungarian State Opera and the amazing view he has enjoyed from up there. Almost 5.7 million people have seen and liked his post so far, and some of them are happy and proud citizens of the Hungarian capital city, while others are simply amazed by the snap and/or want to visit Hungary one day.

What is Will Smith doing in Budapest?

The world-famous actor is not only a tourist in our capital: he is shooting here his next movie, Gemini Man with director Ang Lee. Shooting locations include Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Szabadság Square and the Fisherman’s Bastion, but he will probably also visit Korda Studios in Etyek.

In his free time, Will Smith enjoys going to restaurants and doesn’t seem to feel bothered by the photos out there: a couple of days ago, the staff of the Lebanese restaurant Baalbek took a selfie with the Hollywood superstar.

He will spend one month here so we all might have the chance to run into him in the city until the end of June.
