The metro won’t stop at the Parliament in the next few weeks.

The neighborhood of the Parliament is one of the most visited places in Budapest and now a big change will come into force in the transport of the area. From July 28, metro line M2 does not serve Kossuth Lajos tér metro station, thus you have to walk, hop on the replacement bus or chose tram number 2 if you’re planning to visit this beautiful building.

It is expected that M2 metro will passes through Kossuth Lajos tér station without stopping until the end of August, because of the construction work of the office building above the station. To reach the metro station and its surroundings, M2A metro replacement bus will be available between Kossuth Lajos tér and Deák Ferenc tér. Batthyány tér can be reached by boat from Kossuth tér: in addition to D12 boat, BKK launches a new crossing boat line between the two ports between 7 am and 19 pm. Kossuth Lajos tér and its surroundings can be reached from other points of the city as usual: with tram 2, which circulates more frequent than usual, buses 15 and 115, trolley buses 70 and 78, and with metro line M3 from the direction of and Arany János utca.
