You can take part in exciting and colorful events and programs without spending a penny.

Budapest is not an expensive city, and even if you are planning a very low-budget vacation with your family this year, you don't have to worry about getting bored. In addition to strolling in the city, there are many other exciting attractions and programs where there is no entrance fee. In addition, much less people knows about these places than the most well-known sights, so there won't be such a big crowd.

Budapest Jazz Club: BJC at Hollán Ernő Street is one of the city's most authentic jazz clubs.

They organize 2-3 free jam sessions weekly. It is worth seeing the exact program, but usually Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays are the evening of these free programs.

Zoo at Margaret Island: Don't think about a big zoo with hundreds of animal species: this one is a small, friendly place with domestic, forest and some exotic animals. Peacocks, deers, owls, some unique ducks, for example that waits for us on the island.

Kincsem Park: It's an entertaining activity to visit the racetrack: beautiful horses and exciting races always worth visiting. Kincsem Park has many of these races all year round, and the entry to the weekend trotting and gallop competitions is completely free, so if we don't want to bet, we can watch the events for free.

Free museum days: At our national holidays, the permanent exhibitions of the most museums are free, and there are free days for most museums every month. The permanent exhibition of Hungarian National Gallery, Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Applied Arts and Hungarian National Museum are free on the third Saturday of each month, while Museum of Ethnography and the Hungarian Natural History Museum is free on the first Sunday of each month. And take a look at the web page of your favorite museum, because this is not the complete list!

Dixit, Ticket to Ride, Dobble, Codenames - just a few of the best creative and community games we can play on these evenings.

Virág Judit Gallery: Virág Judit Gallery is mainly collects the prominent masterpieces of the 19th and 20th century: paintings and Zsolnay ceramics are presented and on sale. Contemporary painting is also an important point: the in-house Contemporary Gallery presents works of artists who born from the 1960s to the present day at free exhibitions.

Botellón: Botellón Budapest is an even that promises open-air music and summer feeling, obviously during the warmer months. The idea is that you bring your favorite bottle of anything, they provide the music and the night is on. Botellón has been hosting parties since 2015, at such places as the Museum Garden, the Philosophers' Garden, the Citadel or the Top of the Tunnel. They provide music, glasses and trash cans, everything else is up to you.

Budapest Music Center (BMC): Budapest Music Center (BMC) is not only a musical information center, where the data of Hungarian classical and jazz musicians and Hungarian contemporary music pieces are collected, but a real cultural center.
