It's a good thing if we have our own water bottle and have something to drink with us whole year round, but during this hot season, it's almost essential. These days we can dry out in hours, so we must buy something to drink if we run out of water. Which is not only wasting our money unnecessarily, but also harming the planet. For some reason, here in Hungary we don't have the public knowledge that we can go in a restaurant and ask for a glass of water. Somehow it is not customary, and one does not even know if the waiter will or will not give dirty looks if we try. But this is over.

Kozkutak.hu published a map of Budapest that shows all places where you can get water for free. These places can be traditional drinking fountains, hydrants transformed into drinking wells, or restaurants where you are very welcome to drink a glass of water. In these restaurants it's sure you can get a glass of water without consumption and you will not even get a bad comment. The openness is even greater than expected: the „Refill” sticker appears on more and more doors. The Refill project also has a mobile application, so you can really easily check where the nearest water point is.
