National Geographic mentions National Blue Trail in Hungary among the 25 best travel destinations in the world.
The National Blue Trail in Hungary was mentioned among places like the Kalahari Desert, the Grossglockner-Hochalpenstrasse, the city of Parma, the Maldive Island, the Asturias, Tasmania, the Kamchatka Peninsula, and the Grand Canyon National Park on the list of National Geographic magazine, reported the Hungarian Hikers Association to MTI.
National Geographic listed 25 exciting destination ideas for the upcoming year, and we are very proud that the National Blue Trail is also in the compilation. They write that the 700 miles long trail is ‘a wonderfully diverse web of paths labeled with white-and-blue-striped waymarkers’.
Besides, there is also a free mobile application available, Természetjáró app, which can be used in offline mode, too. If follows the language of your device, so the app helps you to complete the trail by knowing where are you and where you’re heading. ;) So it can be very useful for tourists from abroad who don’t speak Hungarian and probably couldn’t ask locals for directions.
