You have to seethese 23 unique wooden sculptures inspired by the sound waves of iconic music performances!
Although the tune fades away, but the experience stays with us forever. Doesn't it? Well, not exactly. Sometimes even the music can stay with us forever. At least if this moment is captured by the special sound sculptures created within the framework of a Christmas cooperation between the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service and Müpa Budapest. The sculptures are created by Gyula Baditz: the 23 unique wooden sculptures were inspired by the sound waves of iconic music performances of this year, and were made in the carpentry workshop of the Maltese Charity Service by hard-working people in Tiszabura.
Another specialty of these sculptures is that they are all signed by world-renowned performers, the performers of the selected works, including Diana Krall, Marcus Miller, Charlotte Gainsbourg, José Cura, Adam Fischer and Péter Eötvös.
A festive exhibition from the works was opened on 5 December in the Müpa Flag Hall, and is open until 5 January. In parallel, an online auction has been launched at the Maltese Charity Service's licit.adomanyozz.hu website: the charity is using the proceeds to expand the tools and employment opportunities of the carpentry factory in Tiszabura.
Don't miss the chance to see these unique sculptures!
