Taste the meat of the Hungarian mangalica pigs, some wine and pálinka, and enjoy the colourful programs for free, from 6 to 8 February in Budapest.
If you visit Budapest in the first days of February, and you would like to be part of a special gastronomic event and a unique Hungarian festival, then don’t miss Mangalica Festival. The event will be organized from 6 to 8 February at Szabadság Square, Budapest, and the entry will be free.
You can see here the mangalicas, the traditional Hungarian pigs, the festival is named after, and if you feel like trying something new, you can taste their meat, too. But if you opt for other gourmet goods, you can pick for example sausages, spices, honey, wine or pálinka.
You can purchase the goods of Hungarian artisans, and enjoy concerts, folk music programs, farces, gastronomic programs and shows. On Saturday, a traditional Hungarian cooking competition will be organized, which is one of the most popular programs at the festival.
