If you spend the first of May in Budapest this year, don’t be surprised, if you see aeroplanes and racing cars in the city centre because fast vehicles will rule the streets and the air on Labour Day in the downtown of the Hungarian capital.
Due to the popularity of last years’ races, air- and racing car show will be organized again in Budapest on Labour Day this year, as well. We can see helicopters, paratroops, different aeroplanes and air shows in the morning, from 10:45 am to 1 pm, then from 2 pm to 5 pm, several racing cars will bring some magic to the asphalt of the Hungarian capital.
Those who visit the air- and racing car show can see cars from the NASCAR series, Formula-1 cars, WTCC touring cars and luxury cars specially built into racing cars, just like Porsches, Maseratis, Ferraris, etc.
The aim of this event is of course to amuse people, and bring car racing closer to those who like it, but usually can only watch the races in the television. Besides, at the air- and racing car show everybody can see the skills of the Formula-1 world champion racer, Kimi Raikkönen and some popular Hungarian talents, for example Péter Besenyei aerobatics pilot and Norbert Michelisz, Hungary’s No 1 touring car racer.
