If we are talking about architectural design, special-shaped houses, unique textures or interior design come to our mind, but a Hungarian company became world-famous with the most casual raw material: concrete.
What we are talking about is IVANKA, the world's leading designer brand of concrete, which opened its showroom and store in Tel Aviv on 5 May 2015. But why is it so cool? Because IVANKA is known for its progressive design and technology solutions. They often create their innovation with crossing the boundaries of the material, and do all this in an eye-catching way. The company is not only a high-capacity manufacturing base, but also a design studio, so they can realize everything from the first sketch, through the engineering process to the installation of the product.
The Budapest-based company, founded in 2002 by Katalin Ivanka and András Ivanka is evolved into the world's leading concrete designer company. Their first international breakthrough was the success of the “SeeYou” tomb in 2009, in the Milan Design Week. In 2010, the “Aero Concrete Sound” loudspeakers design, while in 2012 the 'CONCRETE GENEZIS' clothing collection (the world's first architectural-inspired capsule collection that combined cement and textile) meant the success for the company.

So they are the ones, who opened their new showroom in Israel, where they present uniquely designed wall coverings, washbasins, kitchen counters, and well-known products IVANKA, such as the Flaster, Ortho and Panel casing. IVANKA is famous for the unique solutions in the areas of everyday life as well, such as bathroom items, on the spot casted steps, individually shaped surfaces, light concrete; or the light transmitting, graphic solutions. They redefines the thinking about concrete from the very beginning, proving that concrete is not only a construction materials, but also an essential element in the architecture and design, and that’s why we are so proud of them.
Among their former and current clients there are: Vodafone, Mercedes-Benz, Saint Laurent Paris, MGM Grand Las Vegas, BMW, Fairmont Hotels, Andaz by Hyatt and the Starwood Hotels. IVANKA has also collaborated with internationally renowned experts such as Marcel Wanders Studio, Tom Dixon and Zaha Hadid Architects.
