Budapest also got its funny logo from the creative photographer-graphic designer Raluca Theodora Popescu.
London, Bratislava, Berlin, Seattle, Moscow, Bucharest, Budapest – if you say the names of these big cities, you might hear some English words in them, for example Bra-tislava, Bear-lin, Mos-cow. Interesting, isn’t it? Well, a photographer-graphic designer, Raluca Theodora Popescu realized the same, as she was working on a representative banner for a travel agency.
“While doing some research, I started asking myself how can I creatively represent a city's name with an image” – she wrote about her idea on Boredpanda.com. She then created logos from the big cities’ names and put those logos on some photos representing each big city (or, in the case of Iceland, a country).
“I started with Bucharest. What best represents the city I live in? How can it be drawn?” – she added. Well, if you look at the results, we are sure that you won’t mix Bucharest’s and Budapest’s name in the future.
Budapest got a cute little Buddha in its logo. Would you like to feel the “zen” here, in our capital? We suggest you to take a walk or go for a picnic in the City Park or practice some yoga at Margaret Island.
