Kontroll

Surreal dark comedy and thriller about ticket inspectors on the Budapest Metró whose lives are turned upside down by a serial killer lurking in the shadows. A tale about a strange young man, Bulcsú, the fellow inspectors on his team, all without exception likeable characters, a rival ticket inspection team, and racing along the tracks... Although it’s a fiction movie, but it’s so lifelike, that we would not say it’s not real. Except from the serial killer, of course.

Grand Budapest hotel

This one is obviously not about the Hungarian capital, yet, the atmosphere perfectly evokes the era of the beginning of the century. And it’s a favorite movie of us. The story is about the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous hotel from the fictional Republic of Zubrowka between the first and second World Wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. Starring Hollywood superstars like Ralph Fiennes, Jude Law, Adrien Brody, Bill Murray, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan and Tilda Swinton.
