Gozsdu Sky Garage has opened in Budapest

Have you ever heard of Gozsdu Sky? If you have, maybe it was Gozsdu Sky Terrace, opened last year, but this year there is something new: Gozsdu Sky Garage, a really good alternative if the weather makes it difficult or even impossible to chill out at the rooftop bar.

Do you like rooftop bars? We are sure that you do, because on a hot and sunny summer day, nothing can be better than a cold drink in your hands, your friends or your love next to you, and the panorama of a beautiful city right in front of you. In Budapest, there are several rooftop bars where you can enjoy these pleasures, but last summer surprised us with several evenings – not in the good sense of the word – when the weather made it difficult or even impossible to enjoy a night out in a rooftop bar.

That’s why we like the idea of Gozsdu Sky Garage so much: this is a new covered club, connected to the outdoor space Gozsdu Sky Terrace in the popular Gozsdu Court. The Sky Garage is situated just below the terrace, on the 6th floor of Gozsdu's car park. It has been completely transformed, sound-proofed and got a brand new, cool interior design.

Remodelled into a modern club with a capacity for 250 people, Gozsdu Sky Garge will provide electronic music, acoustic concerts, live acts and exhibitions, as well. The dance floor here will be really important, as the section for sitting and chatting with friends, we think.

If the weather is nice, and you would like to get some fresh air or to smoke a cigarette, you can go upstairs, to the Sky Terrace anytime. In the early spring afternoons, you can listen to chill music up there, as well as have your first rooftop beer or “fröccs” (mix of wine and soda water popular in Hungary) of the season even before the Gozsdu Sky Terrace has officially opened.

They will organize several events and programs, like morning yoga classes, workshops, Sunday afternoons with family programs, or stand up comedy productions for the afternoon. If you feel hungry, you can taste something from the impressing menu of Gozsdu Sky Terrace, for example grill food, which they are planning to add to their offering.

Gozsdu Sky Garage has opened on 4 April. At the grand opening, Andras Toth, Nigel Snorter, Rizkid, Roland Handrick and StereoStrip have performed, for the guests from Hungary and abroad. We can’t wait to check out how the place looks like and to enjoy a spring or summer night out at the Gozsdu Sky Terrace and Garage.
