Summer has arrived to Hungary, so the beer enthusiasts have already found their old favourite beer gardens and breweries, or they have new ones on their lists to visit during the hot days in Budapest. Let us show you the best beer places where you should go while staying in the city.

Would you like to visit a modern and elegant beer bistro, and taste superb beer, accompanied by the specialty of the house, for example the duck liver pate with strawberries and macaron? Then visit PIVO and MORE in the downtown of Budapest, and let your taste buds be pampered.

If you like Czech and Hungarian beers, and a nice terrace to enjoy some of your favourite drinks, choose Léhűtő at Gozsdu Court. The place has an always rotating offer of Hungarian craft beers and imported bottled beers from Czech Republic (Primator) and Bavaria (Weihenstephan).

Paulaner Beer House

Mom Park also offers a nice place to try cool beers. In Paulaner Beer House, there are eight different Paulaners on tap, including the Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier. This is a natural wheat beer, and the brewery's best-selling product, as well. If you are hungry, taste the Bavarian specialties offered by the kitchen of the beer house.

The Caledonia

Voted the Best British Bar in Hungary by The Telegraph, the Scottish pub called Caledonia is also known for its selection of whisky, but the fans of draft and bottled beer can also find their favourites here. Are you hungry? Choose Scottish or Hungarian dishes, you won’t regret it. If you are an expat, and/or a soccer fan looking for somewhere to watch a match while enjoying a pint, choose The Caledonia.

Legenda Sörfőzde Pub

Intense and strong beers and ales can be found in Legenda Sörfőzde Pub. The names also have a message about the beers: Pokerface Pale Ale, Black Jack IPA, Brutal Bitter... but if you are a fan of craft beers, especially sour-cherry tasted ones, Legenda is a “must-visit” place for you in Budapest because this type of beer there is legendary!

+1: Our favourite – Jaromír Czech beer garden

Are you a fan of Czech beers? Would like to enjoy your favourite drinks with a nice starter, for example Zebik, Jaromír, Hurvinyek, or something more filling among the main courses? Then choose Jaromír - you can sit in a nice garden here, and you can really enjoy your food and drinks. And you will be surprised when the bill arrives, because the prices are really low here.
