Vintage Garden & The Sweet – prettiest places, not only for ladies
Posted by Mia Balogh · Sep 7, 2015

Are you looking for a harmonic, pretty and chic place for a chat with the girls, or would you like to amaze your girlfriend with some romantic moments together at a nice spot? Then choose one of these two popular places, or try both.

The 7th district of Budapest is known as party district, with lots of pubs, ruin pubs, restaurants, but if you would like to choose a more peaceful and harmonic place, there are some really good ones there, too.

We suggest you to visit Vintage Garden and The Sweet by Vintage Garden, both located in Dob Street. The first one, Vintage Garden is the older one. It was opened last year, and the name choice already tells you what you can expect from this spot: “vintage” reveals the style of the place and “garden” suggests flowers. Well, you can find these everywhere, thanks to Laura Virág.

That’s the name of the mini flower shop that you can see in Király Street – its owner had the idea of Vintage Garden for a while, before they could start to create it. First, they wanted to open a café or a confectionary, but men in the family started to add their own favorites to the menu, so they realized that they have created a bistro menu.

They offer you soups, main dishes, desserts, but salads for those who follow a low-calorie diet, as well. They have a perfectly selected wine list, cocktails, coffees, so if you prefer a short visit here, you can choose for example a nice cake with a cappuccino or a fröccs (wine with some soda water).

The whole bistro is a perfect mix of creativity and sense of beauty. They have a flower wall you simply have to check out, right after entering.

The Sweet by Vintage Garden is the confectionery of Vintage Garden, with the same style as its big sister: you can find light colors everywhere, but we are sure that after getting your dessert, you will only concentrate on that. Because the sweet treats are not only delicious, but really pretty here, too.

The confectionery focuses on ice cream, cakes, macarons, and charmingly wrapped biscuits, as well as on coffee and milkshakes. You can ask your favorites for takeaway, as well. The Sweet takes on wedding-cake orders, but if you would like to buy a cake for a birthday party or some other occasion, we are sure that they will gladly help you here.
