As we all know, Budapest is offering a wide range of cultural and art programs – in April, also the exhibitions of Budapest Art Week included. These are unmissable programs, here’s why.
1, The fourth Budapest Art Week offers you nearly 100 exhibitions at 74 venues for 6 days, so everybody can find a program they like.
2, It will be organized this spring – from 9 to 14 April – so if the weather turns cloudy or windy outside, or a light rain arrives, you’ll have the opportunity to stop in sightseeing and to see and interesting exhibition. ;) New venues include the Hopp Ferenc Asia Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts, it was told on a press conference in March, so you’ll have some more interesting cultural hotspots to choose from.
3, The main exhibition of the festival will be shown in the Mikve Gallery and focus on connections between contemporary Russian and Hungarian art, in parallel with the Budapest Spring Festival in which Russia is a guest of honour. The exhibition will feature work by acclaimed artists such as the Blue Noses Group, Oleg Kulik, Chto Delat and the AES+F collective.
If you know the artworks of all these artists, we recommend you to see the main exhibition of Budapest Art Week, but if you don’t know these yet, well, it’s high time to learn something, right? ;)
