These 3 unique ice cream desserts are better than anything you’ve tasted before.
Ice creams are great on their own, but if they are stuffed into something, they are simply irresistible!
Ice cream in chimney cake
Chimney cake („Kürtőskalács”) is a spit cake specific to Hungarian-speaking regions. It’s made from sweet, yeast dough (raised dough), of which a strip is spun and then wrapped around a truncated cone–shaped baking spit, and rolled in granulated sugar. During the baking process the sugar stuck on it, caramelizes and forms a shiny, crispy crust. Well, this is the default. Now imagine chimney cake stuffed with vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce, or chocolate-banana and whipped cream, for example. It’s available in lots of places in the city, for example here.
Ice cream in bubble waffle
Bubble waffle or egg waffle is a spherical egg-based waffle comes from Hong Kong and Macau and is an eggy leavened batter cooked between two plates of semi-spherical cells. By now it conquered the Hungarian capital too, and it is almost natural, that you can buy it in a rolled-up version, stuffed with ice-cream and fruits. It’s a must-try thing this summer, taste it here or here.
Thai ice cream in sweet crescent roll
Thai ice cream is the so-called stir-fried ice cream, with toppings (whipped cream, fruit and cookie). It is basically a rolled ice cream or ice cream rolls, a handmade ice cream dessert made with milk poured on an iced grill, and mixed with fruit or different ingredients on the ice-pan. Stir-fried ice cream exists in Thailand since 2009, and now it starts to become popular in the whole world. Now imagine a “RollDog”, which has the selected ice cream rolls in a sweet, warm, toasted buttery crescent roll. Yummy! Taste the original here.
